District 5 officers responded to a Shooting on the upper parking lot of the Wohl Rec Center, located at 1515 N. Kingshighway, just before 4:00 a.m. on July 14.
A 27-year-old man told officers he was walking across the parking lot when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot in the leg. He told officers he did not see who was shooting.
Shell casings were located on the upper parking lot.
EMS transported the 27-year-old man to an area hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
