District 2 is investigating a cutting incident that occurred on the evening of July 21 in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.
Around 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a call for a “Flourishing” at a residence in the 3900 block of Chippewa. Upon arriving, they located a 42-year-old male and a 19-year-old male both suffering from cut wounds.
An investigation revealed the men were cut by their neighbor, a 33-year-old male, who responded to the victims’ residence and caused a disturbance while armed with a machete. During the incident, the suspect swung the machete at the victims, cutting them. A second man, 27, related to the 33-year-old suspect damaged a third victim’s car.
Both suspects fled from the scene prior to police arrival. EMS transported the 42-year-old victim to the hospital for further treatment. The 33-year-old victim declined medical attention at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
