District 5 officers responded to an area hospital for a Shooting-Prior around 7:20 p.m. on August 2.
A 31-year-old man told officers that he was running when he heard gun shots and realized he was shot. The man would not provide any additional information including why he was running or where the incident occurred.
The man flagged down a passing motorist who drove him to the hospital. The 31-year-old man was listed in stable condition.
A scene was located in the 4800 block of Wabada.
The investigation is ongoing.
