Homicide detectives have taken the lead on a death investigation after a woman’s body was found on August 5 in The Ville neighborhood.
At approximately 11:41 a.m., officers received a call to the 4200 block of N. Market Street relative to an unidentified woman found in the beginning stages of decomposition. EMS and the Fire Department were on scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office responded. The Homicide Division is handling the ongoing investigation pending official cause of death results.
