District 5 is investigating a robbery that occurred on August 13 in The Greater Ville neighborhood.
At 11:35 a.m., officers were called to the 3900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Dr for a hold up. The victim, a 61-year-old man, told officers he was walking at the location when he was approached by two young male suspects asking for help with bus fare. The victim said when he opened his wallet, one of the suspects produced a handgun and announced a robbery. The victim relinquished his wallet and then the suspects fled from the scene.
