District 5 officers responded to a Carjacking on August 26 in the 900 block of Goodfellow around 10 p.m.
A 42-year-old man told officers he was picking up a ride share when he was approached by two men wearing masks and dark clothing. One of the men produced a handgun and assaulted the 42-year-old man.
Two additional men wearing masks entered the back of the 42-year-old man’s Chevy Equinox. The 42-year-old man exited his vehicle. One of the men took the 42-year-old’s keys, cellphones, and his wallet.
The four men drove off in the silver Chevy Equinox.
The 42-year-old man was treated on scene by EMS for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
