On June 16, District 5 officers received a call for a shooting-prior at approximately 12:45 a.m.
Officers met with a 15-year-old female and her parent at a nearby hospital. The 15-year-old was suffering from a gunshot wound to her hand.
The 15-year-old told officers she was in the 5500 block of Dr Martin Luther King Drive with her friends, at approximately 9:30 p.m. They heard arguing and then gunshots in the area. The 15-year-old then felt pain in her hand and ran home. She was then privately conveyed to a nearby hospital.
