Domestic Response Abuse Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened in the 3400 block of Dunnica on September 2.
District 3 officers responded to a Shooting around 1:00 p.m. on September 2. Officers located a 56-year-old woman shot in the hand. The 56-year-old told detectives her 34-year-old daughter and her daughter’s 35-year-old boyfriend were arguing. The argument escalated and the 35-year-old grabbed a gun. The 56-year-old tried to intervene and was shot in the hand by the 35-year-old man.
The 35-year-old man ran away before police arrived.
EMS responded and transported the 56-year-old woman to an area hospital where she was listed as stable.
