District 2 is investigation a shooting that happened around 3:10 a.m. on October 4 in the 2200 block of Portis Ave.
A 72-year-old man told officers he went out onto his porch to interrupt three unknown males that he discovered were inside of his son’s parked car. The man said two of the suspects fired multiple gunshots at him as he was on his porch before fleeing in a dark-colored Tesla Model Y.
The 72-year-old man sustained injuries from shrapnel and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with a tip about this incident who wants to remain anonymous and is interested in a possible reward for their tip can contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
