District 5 is investigating a home invasion that happened around 7:40 p.m. on October 9 in the 5800 block of Plymouth.
A 31-year-old woman told officers a known male had just dropped her off from getting food. While in her home attempting to find gas money for the man, the woman said he became impatient and forced his way into her with a handgun displayed.
The woman said the man took money from her purse and then fled from the scene. The woman was not injured during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
