Accident Reconstruction is investigating a single-vehicle accident that occurred on July 25 in the 5000 block of Manchester.
Just after 9:45 a.m., officers received a call relative to a motor scooter accident wherein a 51-year-old male driver was critically injured. EMS transported the driver to the hospital where he died.
A preliminary investigation revealed the motor scooter was travelling eastbound on Manchester Avenue when the driver drove into a sign located on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of Manchester. Investigators are working to determine the events leading up to the accident.
Accident Reconstruction investigators are handling the ongoing investigation.
