District 5 officers responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Garfield just after 9 p.m. on August 15.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a man approximately 35-40 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach.
EMS responded and transported the man to a nearby hospital where he died.
