UPDATE: The deceased man has been identified as 52-year-old Antoine Meeks of Houston, TX.
Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man that happened on August 17, 2025 in the Lasalle neighborhood.
Shortly after 4:50 p.m., officers received a shooting call in the 1500 block of S. 10th Street. Upon arriving, they located a 52-year-old man on the ground with gunshot wounds.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances of the incident.
