Arrest: On February 14, 2025, 20-year-old Marcus Allen was arrested. Charges were issued for Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.
Update: The male has been identified as 17-year-old Romel White of the 2900 block if Keokuk.
Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a male injured on December 23 in the 3600 block of Minnesota.
Shortly after 7:45 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the location. Upon arriving, they located a male on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
EMS responded and transported the male to a hospital, where he died. The investigation is ongoing.
