A 22-year-old man was robbed of his car keys at gunpoint while trying to meet a female he had been chatting with on social media.
On December 29, 2024 around 12:45am, officers received a call for a Hold-Up in the 3700 block of Chippewa.
The 22-year-old stated he was messaging a female on social media who gave instructions on where to meet; but was instead met by a masked man armed with a handgun. The masked man announced a robbery and demanded his property.
The 22-year-old gave up his car keys before running off and contacting police.
District 2 detectives are investigating this case.
