Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured on September 14, 2025 in The Greater Ville.
Just after 9 p.m., officers received calls for shots fired and ShotSpotter activations in the area of North Taylor & Cottage Avenues. About 30 minutes later, officers received another call from a local hospital wherein three men, 39, 40, and 35, were dropped off at the hospital with gunshot wounds from this incident.
At the scene, officers located evidence of a shooting in the 4500 block of Cottage. Detectives are still working to learn the full circumstances of this incident but it is believed an unknown suspect(s) in a dark colored vehicle fired shots at the men.
The 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 40-year-old man was listed in stable condition while the 35-year-old man was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
