District 4 is investigating a robbery that happened on February 3 in the 3700 block of N. 14th Street.
A 34-year-old man told officers he was at the location in his vehicle waiting for his friend around 9:50 p.m. when an unknown black sedan pulled up next to him. The 34-year-old man said an unknown male armed with a handgun, who was the driver of the black sedan, exited the sedan and approached him. The 34-year-old man said the suspect then told him empty his pockets.
The 34-year-old man said the suspect struck him in the head with the gun, pulled him out of his car, and then rummaged through his pockets taking his wallet and car keys. The suspect fled in the black sedan after the incident.
The 34-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS. The investigation is ongoing.
