District 1 is investigating a shooting that left a 53-year-old man injured on August 14 in the Dutchtown neighborhood.
Shortly after 11:40 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 4500 block of Tennessee. Upon arriving, they located the victim inside his residence suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder. The victim told officers that around 10:40 p.m., he was involved in an argument with an unknown male suspect after the suspect refused to get off the victim’s property. During the argument, the victim said the suspect produced a firearm and fired a shot.
