District 6 officers responded to a robbery in the 4000 block of North Kingshighway, on April 3, just before 2:30 p.m.
A 46-year-old man told officers he was putting his child in his white Ford Eco Sport. Two men approached him, one man claimed to have a gun. They demanded he remove his kid and give them his keys. The man complied. The two men entered the Eco Sport and drove away.
The Eco Sport was tracked to the area of Steins and Minnesota. Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF) detectives responded to the area, located the car, and deployed spiked strips. A short distance later, the car stopped, and the two men were taken into custody.
A 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both arrested. The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued charges for Robbery 1st and Aggravated Fleeing against both men.
