District 5 officers responded to a Shooting on August 26 at the intersection of Cora Ave and Evans Ave around 11:30 p.m. An unidentified man was located unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and pronounced the unidentified man, dead at the scene. The Homicide Division responded and assumed the ongoing investigation.

District 6 officers responded to a Shooting inside of a residence in the 5000 block of Ruskin around 1:30 a.m. on August 24. A 19-year-old man, identified as Ryan Alexander of the 5000 block of Ruskin, was located inside of the residence unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced Alexander dead at the scene.
