District 6 officers responded to a Cutting in the 4400 block of Richard, around 7:00 p.m. on July 4.
A 44-year-old man was found with multiple lacerations to his back and neck.
The man appeared to be intoxicated and indicated he was assaulted by a female.
EMS transported the man to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
