Homicide Detectives have taken the lead on a death investigation involving two women who were found burned in a home on July 14 in Carondelet.
Around 12:45 p.m., Bomb & Arson officers were called to the 3500 block of Kingsland Ct. to investigate a house fire which appeared to be intentionally set. Fire officials on scene advised an 81-year-old woman and 66-year-old woman were found burned inside the home.
The two women were transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. Homicide Detectives were requested to the scene and assumed the investigation, along with the Bomb & Arson Unit, to determine what led up to the fire and any possible suspect(s).
