The Homicide Division is launching a death investigation after a man was found injured near railroad tracks on September 15, 2025 in Ellendale.
Around 3 a.m. on September 15, officers received a call about a male, 47, that was found injured near the tracks at Magnolia & McCausland Avenues. Upon arriving, officers located the man lying on the ground suffering from head trauma.
EMS responded and transported the 47-year-old man to the hospital where he later died. An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office discovered the man had a gunshot wound to his face. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances of the incident and if foul play was involved.
