Update: The deceased man has been identified as 49-year-old Reginald Davis of the 3000 block of N. 23rd Street.
Homicide Detectives have assumed an investigating into the death of a man on April 22, 2025.
At approximately 12:35 a.m. on April 22, officers received a call for police help at North 23rd & Palm Street. Upon arriving, they located an adult man in the street conscious and barely breathing. EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after 1 a.m. The Medical Examiner’s Office assumed the investigation to determine a cause of death.
At 2:40 p.m., the Medical Examiner’s Office contacted the Homicide Division to advise the man suffered from neck injuries/fractures. The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the manner of death as “homicide.”
