District 6 is investigating a shooting that injured a 13-year-old boy on November 16, 2025 in the Baden neighborhood.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 800 block of Canaan. Upon arriving, they located the 13-year-old boy inside a residence with a gunshot wound to his rear-end. He was conscious and breathing and transported to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed the boy was reportedly standing in the doorway of a residence when gunfire rang out from outside and the boy was struck. Detectives are still working to determine the full circumstances of the incident, including what led up to the shooting and who was shooting.
