District 4 is investigating a carjacking that happened shortly after 7:40 p.m. on February 13 near N. 14th & Farrar Streets.
A 39-year-old man told officers he and a friend were carjacked at gunpoint after following an unknown male suspect driving a black Chevy Malibu to N. 14th & Farrar Streets. The 39-year-old said they followed the suspect to that location after the suspect offered to sell them narcotics. The suspect fled in the victim’s Ford Ranger after the robbery, followed by the Chevy Malibu he approached the victim in.
At approximately 11 p.m., the victim’s Ford Ranger and the Chevy Malibu were recovered in the 5300 block of Theodosia by Anti-Crime Detectives. A 33-year-old man and two 24-year-old men were taken into custody after a foot pursuit. The investigation remains ongoing.
