Note: The victim of this incident was uncooperative during the investigation, provided multiple conflicting accounts of what occurred, and initially lied about his identity to investigating officers.
District 5 is investigating a robbery and shooting that allegedly occurred around 6 a.m. on July 2 in the West End neighborhood.
Around 8:30 a.m., officers received a call from a St. Louis County hospital after a 23-year-old man responded there with gunshot wounds to his arms. The man was uncooperative and not forthcoming with what occurred; however, he eventually claimed he was robbed of his shoes and clothes by three males while walking in the alley of the 5800 block of Delmar. He further claimed the males shot him during the incident.
