District 6 is investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a man critically injured on July 29 in the North Riverfront neighborhood.
Shortly after midnight, officers were called to the Ron’s Gas Station located at 8430 Hall Street. Upon arriving, they located a 31-year-old man on the ground of the parking lot suffering from bodily injuries and being tended to by EMS. A preliminary investigation determined the man was struck by a possible Dodge Magnum that was doing “donuts” on the parking lot. The vehicle left the scene. Several bystanders were observed on scene; however, they would not speak to officers regarding what occurred.
The victim was transported to the hospital and listed in critical but stable condition. He was unable to provide a statement due to his injuries.
