District 5 is investigating a cutting incident that occurred on a Metro Bus on March 13, 2025 in the 900 block of N. Kingshighway.
A 53-year-old told officers he had just entered the bus at Delmar & Kingshighway at approximately 9:30 a.m. and sat down when a 28-year-old man suddenly attacked him in the face with a sharp piece of metal. The 53-year-old man said a fight then ensued between the two of them however, he was eventually able to hold down the 28-year-old man until police arrived.
EMS responded and transported the 53-year-old man to the hospital for treatment of lacerations and bite marks to his face/head. The 28-year-old man said he was not injured and declined medical attention. He was then taken into custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
