On June 22, a District 5 officer was at a stoplight at the intersection of St Louis Ave and N Kingshighway, at approximately 1:35 a.m.
A man stumbled into the street and collapsed. The officer observed a gunshot wound to the man’s neck.
EMS responded and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded and are investigating the shooting. A scene was located in the rear of a residence in the 4900 block of St Louis Ave.
