UPDATE: Man Dies After Baden Shooting, Suspect Charged

UPDATE: A 45-year-old man was arrested for this incident. He has been charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.


UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Marlow Williams. The victim’s family has been notified.


On December 6, 2025, around 5:30PM, District 6 officers responded to the 600 block of Fremont for a shooting. When they arrived, they located a 54-year-old man who had been shot multiple times. He was not conscious and barely breathing.

EMS conveyed the man to an area hospital where they attempted life-saving measures. The man was ultimately pronounced deceased hours later.

Homicide Detectives were contacted and are handling the investigation.

Preliminary information suggests the victim arrived at an address in the 600 block of Fremont and was let inside. At some point, there was a confrontation inside the residence that led to the victim being shot. The investigation remains ongoing.
