Man Dies After Being Struck by Car, in Mark Twain

On February 7, Accident Reconstruction investigators were called out to handle a fatal crash that happened at West Florissant and Kingshighway, around 2 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 64-year-old man was struck by a vehicle after he got off the bi-state bus and attempted to cross the street between the bus and another vehicle that was directly behind the bus. The driver of the vehicle that struck the 64-year-old remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

EMS transported the 64-year-old man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 64-year-old man has been identified as Alexander Larken of the 5900 block of Floy. The investigation remains ongoing.
