UPDATE: A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with this incident. He has been charged with Hindering Prosecution of Felony and Tampering with Evidence in a Felony Prosecution by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
UPDATE: The 70-year-old man has been identified as Herbert Nelson.
Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a man found on August 20, 2025 in Debaliviere Place.
Shortly after 6 p.m., officers responded to a call relative to a 70-year-old man found shot inside his home in the 5800 block of Pershing. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Detectives are still working to find out the circumstances behind the incident, but it is believed to be domestic related. A male suspect is currently being sought. No other suspects are believed to be involved at this time.
