Update:
The deceased man has been identified as 22-year-old Deandre Pickens of the 8700 block of Trumbell.
Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left an adult man dead on January 15 in the rear of the 3500 block of Harper Street.
Shortly after 1 p.m., officers received a shooting call near the location. Upon arriving, they located the man lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains underway. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Homicide Division directly at 314-444-5371.
