On September 6, 2025, just after 6:30PM, District 6 officers responded to the 5700 block of Henner for a shooting.
When officers arrived, they observed a 54-year-old man trying to flee the area. Officers were able to detain the man prior to him escaping.
While on scene, officers located an adult male victim lying in the street who had been shot. EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
District officers and Homicide detectives determined the 54-year-old who attempted to flee the scene, was involved in the shooting. He was arrested and conveyed to the Homicide Division.
