Man Killed, Two Others Injured in Shooting In Hamilton Heights

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a man and injured two others on June 26 in the Hamilton Heights Neighborhood.

Shortly before 9:15 p.m., officers received a call for a “Shooting” at Union and Ridge. Upon arriving to the scene, officers located a 50-year-old man and a 51-year-old man both suffering from gunshot wounds on the parking lot of the Elite Market & Grill where it was determined the shooting had occurred. The 50-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. The 51-year-old victim was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Officers were advised that a third victim, a 41-year-old man, was privately conveyed to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound and was listed in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased victim will be released once he is positively identified and a next-of-kin is located and advised.
