Bomb & Arson investigators continue to comb through evidence after Tuesday night’s apparent explosion in the 7800 block of Germania.
The initial investigation suggests the victim may have purchased an illegally manufactured firework. The firework that exploded is not made or sold commercially.
The purchase or manufacturing of illegal fireworks is incredibly dangerous and can be deadly. The man suffered serious injuries and lost part of his arm.
The incident remains under investigation.

Bomb & Arson detectives have responded to an apparent explosion.
It happened on June 18 around 6pm in the 7800 block of Germania.
An adult man was seriously injured and lost part of his arm. He was taken to the hospital.
It’s unclear what led up to the apparent explosion but the incident remains under investigation.
