Man Robbed by Suspect Armed with a Machete in Tower Grove South

District 2 is investigating a robbery that occurred on July 11 in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., officers received a call for a “Hold Up” in the 4100 block of Gravois and located 32-year-old man who reported that he was robbed while in the 4100 block of Chippewa.

The victim advised officers that he was on the viaduct around 9:45 p.m. in the 4100 block of Chippewa when he was approached by an unknown male armed with a machete. The victim stated the suspect demanded his belongings, and the victim relinquished his bag containing his wallet. The suspect then walked away and the victim responded to a gas station where he contacted police.

The victim was not injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
