District 5 is investigating a home invasion that left a man injured on March 26, 2025 in the 4800 block of Leduc Street.
A 69-year-old man told officers that at approximately 1 a.m., he was inside his residence when he heard a knock at his door. When the man opened the door, he said he observed a male suspect he knows by nickname along with three additional unknown male suspects.
The 69-year-old man said the suspects produced a pistol and then forced their way inside his home and demanded money. The man said when he told the suspects he didn’t have any money, the suspect known by nickname struck him in the head with the firearm causing a laceration. The man then said the suspects told him he had two days to get them the money.
The suspects fled from the scene in an older-model vehicle after the incident. EMS responded and treated the 69-year-old’s laceration at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
