UPDATE:
Arrest Made: On March 3, 2025, District 6 Detectives arrested a 27-year-old relative to an ongoing investigation into multiple online marketplace robberies. On March 4, 2025 the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued three counts of Robbery 1st Degree, three counts of Armed Criminal Action, three counts of UUW- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and one count of misdemeanor Stealing.
On January 25, District 6 responded to a Robbery to the 7800 block of North Broadway, just before 3 p.m.
A 26-year-old man told officers he was meeting a man at the above location to sell him a cellphone. The man pointed a gun at the 26-year-old and demanded his property. Taken was the cellphone.
This investigation is ongoing.
