District 1 is investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on January 12 in the 4300 block of S. 38th Street.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 33-year-old man was attempting to get his car unstuck from the snow when two male suspects approached and offered help. Once the vehicle was freed, the two suspects approached the man and revealed firearms that were concealed by their jackets.
The suspects then took the 33-year-old man’s cellphone from the man’s pocket and ran from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
