District 2 is investigating a robbery that happened around 9:40 p.m. on February 25 in the 3100 block of S. Grand.
A 24-year-old man told officers he was sitting on a bench when he heard a gunshot and then turned around to an armed unknown male suspect running towards him. The 24-year-old man said the suspect yelled at him to drop his luggage.
The 24-year-old said he began running away and dropped his luggage in the process. He was not injured during the incident.
Officers conducted a canvass of the area and located the victim’s luggage near the scene in the 3100 block of S. Grand. No items were missing. The investigation is ongoing.
