District 5 officers are investigating the circumstances around a man being shot on October 15, 2025.
Shortly after 8:40 p.m., officers received a call from Barnes Hospital about a shooting victim, a 46-year-old man, that was dropped off with a gunshot wound to his chest. Officers arrived and attempted to gain information from the man. Due to his condition, he was unable to provide many details.
The 46-year-old man did manage to tell officers he was shot in the 1900 block of Utah. However, when District 3 officers went to that location, they were unable to locate any evidence of a shooting.
The man was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
