District 3 is investigating a shooting that left a 32-year-old man injured on December 20, 2025 in Marine Villa.
Just after 9 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting at the intersection of Chippewa & South Broadway Streets. Upon arriving, they located the 32-year-old man shot on a Metro bus. He was transported to a hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed an argument occurred between the 32-year-old man and an unknown male suspect while they were on the bus. During the argument, the suspect shot the 32-year-old man.
The suspect fled from the scene after the incident. No other injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
