The Homicide Division has assumed an investigation after a man shot in 2021 died from complications of a gunshot wound on June 22, 2025.
Around 11:45 a.m. on September 13, 2021, officers were flagged down in the 5300 block of West Florissant regarding a 32-year-old man, now 36, that had been shot. Officers located the victim sitting inside of his parked vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.
The victim was able to tell officers at the time that an unknown male suspect in a Mercedes pulled alongside his vehicle and shot him. The suspect fled after the shooting.
On June 22, 2025, the Medical Examiner notified the homicide division that the man, 36-year-old Terrance Keely, died at a hospital. An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office concluded on August 27, 2025 that Keely’s cause of death was “sequelae of remote gunshot wound of the neck,” thus ruling the manner a homicide.
