District 6 is investigating a shooting that injured a 34-year-old man on January 1 near Natural Bride & North Grand.
The 34-year-old man told officers he and his cousin were travelling westbound on Natural Bridge passing Grand around 3:30 a.m. when they were caught in the crossfire of two groups shooting at each other. The 34-year-old man said he ducked down in his car and realized he was shot in his foot. The 34-year-old man said he then drove to a relatives’ residence in Hamilton Heights and contacted this department.
EMS responded and transported the 34-year-old man to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
