On March 2, District 6 officers responded to a shooting at North Kingshighway and Thekla, at approximately 8 p.m.
Officers located a 72-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back. The 72-year-old told officers he was at a red light at the above intersection, when a car behind him began honking their horn. He then heard gunshots and felt pain to his back.
EMS responded and transported the 72-year-old to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
This investigation remains ongoing.
