On April 4, District 6 officers responded to a nearby hospital for a shooting that happened at approximately 9 p.m.
A 34-year-old woman told officers that she drove the 30-year-old man to an approximate location in the 4900 block of Union to sell a cellphone to a marketplace buyer.
The 30-year-old man and an unknown man were negotiating a price, when they finally agreed the 30-year-old man retrieved his bag to grab the cellphone and the unknown man shot one round, hitting the 30-year-old in the hand and thigh.
The 30-year-old man remains in stable condition.
