District 6 is investigating a shooting that left a man injured on March 9, 2026 in The Greater Ville neighborhood.
Shortly before 6:40 p.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 4000 block of Ashland. Upon arriving, they located a 61-year-old man outside suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.
The man told officers he was standing outside a residence when he heard gunshots that he believed came from two men in an SUV. The SUV fled after the shooting.
EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was listed in critical/stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
