District 6 is investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old man injured on September 10, 2025 in Walnut Park East.
Shortly after 6:15 p.m., officers received a shooting call in the 5500 block of Mimika. Upon arriving, they located the 25-year-old man who was shot in his back. The man told officers he was standing outside when he heard gunshots and then felt pain.
EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
